Registan

Registan is Samarkand's central square, a prominent architectural ensemble of the region. The ensemble includes three famous madrasas: Ulugh Beg, Sher-Dor and Tillakori. This place is part of the historical center of the city inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage List. During the day it was an active trading area, while at night its unique evening lighting turns the square into one of the main tourist attractions.
