Tillya-Kori Medressa

Tillya-Kari Medressa is located in Registan ensemble in Samarkand. This unique structure combines the functions of a medressa and a mosque, playing an important role in shaping the classical appearance of the square. The interior decoration of the mosque features luxurious decor: walls are covered with abundant gilding and decorative paintings, earning it the name "covered in gold". Tillya-Kari Medressa is the concluding element of the northern side of the Registan ensemble.
