Bibi-Hanym Mosque in Samarkand is one of the main architectural symbols of the city built in the XIV-XV centuries by Amir Timur. Located near Siab market, it stands out with its majestic portals and domes reflecting the importance of Samarkand as the capital of the Timurid Empire. The mosque has been restored many times after destruction and natural disasters remaining the largest and most famous monument of the Timurid era.
