Bibi-Hanum Mausoleum

Bibi-Hanum Mausoleum - a monument from the beginning of the 15th century located in Samarkand on Islam Karimov Street. This high centrally-domed structure originally part of Saray-Mulk Khanym madrasa. Inside the mausoleum lies the burial crypt of the mother of Timur's senior wife. In celebration of the city's 2750th anniversary, the area between the mausoleum and adjacent mosque was landscaped.
