Abu Mansur Maturidiy Mausoleum

The Mausoleum of Abu Mansur Maturidiy is located in Samarkand's old town near Chokardiza cemetery. It is the burial site of renowned scholar Abu Mansur al-Maturidiy, founder of the Maturidiyya school of Sunni theology. The mausoleum was restored in 2000 to mark the 1130th anniversary of the scientist after being destroyed during the Soviet period. The building features blue tiles and epigraphic decorations.
