Ishratkhona

Ishratkhona - a monument of Timurid architecture built in the 15th century during Abu-Seyid's reign. It is a rare example of ruined memorial architecture of Samarkand associated with burials of members of the Timurid dynasty. The building suffered significantly after the earthquake of 1903 when its dome and drum collapsed. In the 20th century, restoration work was carried out. Photos from the beginning of the 20th century show Ishratkhona with an intact dome.
