Hodja Akhrar Ensemble

The ensemble of Hodja Akhrar is located in the southern part of Samarkand near the ancient cemetery Jakherdiza. It unites memorial, cultic and educational buildings around an inner courtyard with a pool. This complex reflects the spiritual heritage of the city and its significance in Islamic culture. Visiting the ensemble allows to complement acquaintance with the historical center of Samarkand, linking it with the name of Hodja Akhrar Vali, a well-known representative of the Naqshbandiya sufi movement.
