Matpanbay Medrese

Matpanbay Medrese is located in the historical part of Khiva city, near Juma Mosque, within Ichan-Kala fortress. The building was constructed in 1905 by Matpanbay with funds during the reign of Muhammad Rahim Khan II. Construction was carried out by Khorezm masters Huдайberган Ходжа and Kalandar Kochum. Today, the medrese serves as a tourist attraction and is connected to the "Avesta" History Museum.
