Northern Fragment Wall Ancient Kesh

Northern fragment of ancient Keš's wall - this is the preserved part of the ancient defensive system surrounding the fortress-city of Keš situated in the historical area of modern Shahrisabz. This wall is a testimony to the former grandeur and strength of the fortress protecting its inhabitants from external threats. Today it serves as an important archaeological monument reflecting architectural features of medieval town planning in the region.
