Mizdakhan Cemetery

Mizdakhan Necropolis is located near the city of Nukus, close to Khodjayli. It is a memorial part of an ancient complex related to local history and culture of Khorezm. There are mausoleums, gravestones and other sacred structures from different epochs reflecting burial culture of the region. Mizdakhan also serves as a pilgrimage site and object of local legends symbolizing memory and spirituality for residents of Karakalpakstan.
