Namazgah Mosque

Namozgoh Mosque is situated on the southwestern outskirts of Bukhara's historical center. The monument is part of UNESCO-protected historic city structures dating back to the Karakhanid architectural period (1119-1120). It housed festive musalla grounds for prayers during holidays such as Kurban-Bayram and Ramadan-Bayram. The main building with an arch was constructed under ruler Muhammad Arslan Khan. The elongated brick qibla wall highlights the monumentality of the structure.
