Magoki-Kurpa Mosque

Magoki-Kurpa Mosque is situated in the historical center of Bukhara, close to the trading dome Toki Telpak Furushon. Built between 1636-1637, it is one of two "underground" mosques in the city. It has two floors and a domed structure, being an independent architectural monument. The name "Magoki" refers to the hidden lower part of the building beneath cultural layers. The mosque belongs to the Sunni branch of Islam.
