Khoja Kalon Mosque

The Khoja Kalon Mosque in Bukhara was built with funds from the Juibar sheikh Khodja Saad, who was nicknamed "the great khoja." This is a Sunni structure, considered the second largest mosque in the city after Poi-Kalyan. The architectural monument has an inner courtyard with an arched-columned gallery and a portal-domed prayer hall, and next to it is the Gaukushon minaret. The dating of the construction is disputed: architectural research dates it to 1573–1580, while guidebooks indicate 1598.
