Turki Jandi Mausoleum

The Mausoleum of Turki Jandi in Bukhara, located on Namazgokh Street, is a mazar formed around the grave of a famous medieval imam. Under the cemetery, archaeologists have discovered the remains of a residential quarter from the 9th-10th centuries, and the oldest burial chamber of the mausoleum had a square plan with a side of about 4.25 meters with an entrance from the northwest. The monument is included in the national list of immovable objects of material and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan and historically was a place of pilgrimage. Archaeological research was conducted in 1971-1972 and 1987-1989 to study it.
