Mausoleum of Saif al-Din al-Bokharzi

The Mausoleum of Saifuddin Bokharzi is located in Fathabad, to the east of medieval Bukhara, and is an architectural monument of the second half of the 14th century from the Chagatai Khanate era. The building with two domes consists of a gur-khana with a burial and a ziarat-khana for prayer, and its walls, arches, and domes are covered with white ganch plaster. The gur-khana previously housed a tombstone in a carved and painted wooden case from the 16th century. In the 14th century, lands and gardens in this area were transferred to a waqf for the maintenance of the mausoleum and khanqah.
