Arc Bukhara

Ard (Bukhara) situated on Registan Square is an ancient citadel of the city built upon a natural hill about six meters high. The fortress has a polygonal shape covering approximately 3.9 hectares. Inside the citadel there are exhibits on history, numismatics, epigraphy, regional nature and archaeology of Bukharan oasis. There are also a throne hall from the 17th century and a cathedral mosque from the 18th century. The outer walls of the fortress stretch for around 789 meters.
