Yaroslavl State Circus

Yaroslavl State Circus is situated on Freedom Street, 69. Its history began in 1913 when Yemelyanov built the first warm circus-theater building. In 1937, the first city state circus appeared here. During reconstruction completed in March 2011, the building acquired a modern appearance commemorating Yaroslavl's millennium celebration. Famous artists such as Karandash, Yuri Nikulin and Oleg Popov performed there. Today, the circus serves not only as a venue for gastroli but also hosts regional social initiatives.
