Yaroslavl State Theatre Institute named after Firs Shishagin

Yaroslavl State Theatre Institute named after Firs Shishagin is located on Deputatskaya Street in the historical center of Yaroslavl city. Here they train drama directors and specialists for puppet theater. After a major renovation in 2010, the building received an updated interior, auditorium and stage. The institute operates an Educational Theater where students gain their first professional practice. The founder of this educational institution is People's Artist of USSR Firs Shishagin, winner of state awards.
