Yaroslavl State Philharmonic

Yaroslavl State Philharmonic is located at: Yaroslavl, Maximova St., 13. It was here in 1970 that the oratorio by Alexander Flyarkovsky "Immortality" premiered. During World War II, the ensemble performed concerts on the frontlines and behind enemy lines. In 2003, under the philharmonic's auspices, professional choral capella Yarslaviya was formed. In 1975, its hall hosted the premiere performance of Tihon Khrennikov's Second Violin Concerto with Leonid Kogan. Since 2018, the philharmonic has annually held the international vocal competition named after Leonid Sobinov.
