Pyotr and Paul Church

The Church of Pyotr and Paul in Yaroslavl is situated in Pyotropavlovsky Park at Bolshaya Oktyabrskaya St., 25a. It is a rare example of Pyotrine Baroque among Yaroslavl's churches, built as a monument to Pyotr I's reforms. The building features complex architecture: the altar part has a five-petal shape while the western side boasts a three-tier bell tower with a spire. In 1997, the church was returned to the Russian Orthodox Church after long-term use for cultural events. Ivan Zatrapyazhnov is buried here.
