Kazan Cathedral

Ярославль, ул. Первомайская, 19а

The Cathedral of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God is located in Yaroslavl on ulitsa Pervomayskaya, 19a. It was built between 1835 and 1845 on the site of an old church from 1649. This is a large four-pillared five-domed temple made in the style of late classicism. Since 1997, regular worship services have been held here after the cathedral was transferred to the Yaroslavl Diocese. A distinctive feature of the temple is the veneration of the Kazan-Yaroslavsk Icon of the Mother of God kept there.
