Памятник Н. А. Некрасову

The monument to Nikolay Alekseevich Nekrasov stands on Volga Embankment near the end of Pervomaysky Boulevard in Yaroslavl. It was installed in 1958 and features a bronze full-length figure of the poet facing the Volga river. On the granite pedestal there is an inscription from his poem: "I dedicated my lyre to my people." The site recalls the poet's visit to the city in 1841 during a mourning event.
