The monument to the 1000th anniversary of Yaroslavl stands in the park on the Strelka, beneath the pedestal rises the figure of Yaroslav the Wise crowned above it - an imposing bronze double-headed eagle. The composition is complemented by figures of a warrior, a clergyman, a woman with a child and a townsman. The opening of the monument took place on September 10, 2010, with the participation of Valentina Tereshkova and Alexei Leonov. The foundation of the monument is a granite pedestal.
