Spaso-Preobrazhensky Cathedral

The Church of the Savior on the Roof Beams in Rostov Veliky is located in the center of the Kremlin and is part of the gatehouse churches complex. Its interior is connected by passages to other temples and accessible for tourists. The main attraction is the unique fresco painting of the late 17th century, which has been well preserved after restoration. From the windows of the church there are picturesque views of the central square of the Kremlin and the Metropolitan Garden. Here you can also see exhibits used during the restoration work.
