Spaso-Yakovlevsky Dmitriev Monastery

Spaso-Yakovlevsky Dmitriev Monastery in Rostov Veliki — an architectural ensemble of the 18th-19th centuries situated near Lake Nero. Established no later than 1389. The complex comprises the Dmitriev Cathedral, Saint James the Apostle Church, Spas and Resurrection Churches, bell tower, and monastic buildings. The earliest church is the Conception Cathedral built in 1686–1687. The monastery serves as a significant sightseeing spot and a prominent view of the city from the lake.
