Lake Nero

Lake Nero is the largest lake in Yaroslavl region located near Rostov Veliky. The age of the lake dates back hundreds of thousands of years, formed during melting of Moscow glacier. It is one of the oldest natural sites in the region, whose picturesque surface reflects walls of ancient monasteries and domes of churches of the city. The total area of the lake is about 52 km² with a length up to 13 km and width up to 8 km.
