Sine-Kamen

Xin Stone is located on the banks of Lake Pleshcheyevo in Gorodische village near Pereslavl-Zalessky. This ancient ritual object is a boulder weighing about 12 tons made of quartz biotite schist. Its name comes from its ability to change color after rain—turning blue. The stone's dimensions are approximately 3.1×2.6×0.6 meters. It is considered part of an ancient pagan shrine and has historical significance as the sole surviving authentic ritual object from pagan Rus'.
