Переславль-Залесский, Красная пл.

Red Square in Pereslavl-Zalessky is the heart of the ancient city founded by Yuri Dolgoruky in 1152. There are preserved earth ramparts from the 12th century that served as defensive fortifications. Climbing them allows to see a panorama of modern urban development. Architectural monuments of Red Square reflect the history of various epochs. Visiting the rampart is accompanied by an excursion dedicated to the history of the Principality of Pereslavl and its rulers. Also there is a monument to Alexander Nevsky where they tell about his life and deeds.
