Voronezh State Opera and Ballet Theatre

The Voronezh State Opera and Ballet Theatre is situated on Lenin Square, being part of its historical ensemble. Established in 1931 as the Voronezh Musical Comedy Theatre, it was transformed into the Music Theatre in 1961 and received state status in 1968. Today it hosts operas, ballets, operettas and musical performances. It is the largest opera house in Central Chernozemie with a wide repertoire of classical and contemporary art.
