Voronezh State Academic Drama Theatre named after A. V. Kol' Kol

The Voronezh State Academic Drama Theatre named after A.V. Koltsov is located at Prospekt Revolutsii, 55. The first building of the theatre was constructed in the center of Voronezh in 1821 but suffered significant damage during the war: it was partially destroyed by an air bomb in June 1942 and then completely burned down. After the war, the theater was rebuilt within nine months and received the name of poet Aleksey Koltsov in 1959. Previously, the theater had two-tier boxes, a parterre and a paradise. In 2002, the theater was awarded the Federal Government Prize named after Fyodor Volkov.
