Tikhvine-Onufrievsky Cathedral
Voronezh, Fabrichnyy Ln, 8
The Tikhvin-Onufrievsky Church is situated in Voronezh on Fabrikanskaya Lane, 8. It was founded by merchant Potap Gardanin as a family chapel in 1746. After restoration in the 1980s, services resumed again from January 1, 1992. The church combines baroque and classicism styles; it has three altars: the upper one dedicated to Onufry the Great and Pyotr of Athos, the lower one honours saints Basil the Great, Gregory the Theologian and John Chrysostom. Two stone altars were built by Gardein's heirs in 1762.
