Покровский собор

The Покровский Cathedral in Voronezh is located at Bektsera Street, 36A. It was consecrated in 1841 by Archbishop Anthony (Smirnitsky). From 1948 to 2009 it was the cathedral of the Voronezh Eparchy. The building was constructed from 1833 to 1841 by architect I.A. Blitsyn in the style of Russian classicism. The history of the temple begins with its first mention in documents from 1615.
