Lenin Monument

The Vladimir Illych Lenin Monument in Voronezh stands on Lenina Square. The first bronze figure was created by sculptor Nikolay Tomashevsky and installed in 1940. After the war, in 1943, a concrete copy of an architect Sergey Merkurov's work was placed on the surviving pedestal. A restored bronze copy reappeared here again in 1950 following reconstruction designed by Nikolay Tomashevsky.
