Rotonda Monument

Voronezh, Transport Square

The "Rotonda" monument is situated in the Transport Sqare of Voronezh. It is the ruins of the former entrance to the Voronezh Regional Clinical Hospital, destroyed during the battles of 1942-1943. The first floor had a vestibule with a fountain, while the second floor featured a two-tier amphitheater-auditorium accommodating 500 people. Adjacent to it, a Vladimir Church was built. The ruins were preserved intentionally as a reminder of tragic war events.
