Ivan Nitin Monument

The monument to Ivan Nikitin in Voronezh was created by sculptor Ivan Shuklin and is his sole major work. It was opened on October 29, 1911, to commemorate the half-century anniversary of the poet's death. At the celebration, thousands of city residents and guests from various cities across Russia gathered together. After forty years of staying in Koltsovsky Square, in 1973 the monument returned to its historical Nikitina Square.
