Memorial Complex on Victory Square

Memorial complex on Pobedy Square in Voronezh consists of three main parts and is situated around a wall with seven granite piers. The central point is a multifigured bronze composition symbolizing the alliance between army and civilian population. On one of the piers there is a detailed map depicting battles of Voronezh-Kastorno operation. It was opened on May 9th, 1975 and supplemented with information about "Voronezh" formations in 2003. Author collective includes sculptors F. Sushkov, architects N. Gunenkov and engineer-constructor S.V. Puchkov.
