Alexeevo-Akatov Convent

Alekseevo-Akatov Convent is located in Voronezh on Osвобождения Truda Street. Founded in 1620 by citizens in gratitude for victory over Lithuanians and Cossacks. Today it is the only surviving convent within the city limits of four former monasteries. Named after Saint Alexius, Metropolitan of Moscow. Restored since 1990 after long neglect.
