Alexeevo-Akatov Convent

Alekseevo-Akatov Convent is situated in Voronezh on Freedom of Labor Street. Established in 1620 by residents in appreciation for victory against Lithuanians and Cossacks. Today it is the sole remaining convent within the city's boundaries out of four former monasteries. Named after Saint Alexis, Metropolitan of Moscow. Rebuilt since 1990 following prolonged neglect.
