Golden Gate

Golden Gates - a monument of ancient russian fortification of the 12th century built from white stone in Vladimir in 1164 under Prince Andrey Bogolyubsky. Included in UNESCO World Heritage List since 1992 as part of the complex of white-stone monuments of Vladimir and Suzdal. Above the archway there is an overdoor church of the Deposition of the Robe of the Virgin Mary. Consecration of the structure was completed on April 26, 1164.
