Saint Rozaire Church

The Church of Saint Rozaarius of the Blessed Virgin Mary is situated at Gogol Street, 12 in Vladimir. Construction of the building began in 1892 under the supervision of gubernatorial architects Alexander Afanasyev and Yosif Karabutov and was completed in 1894 with the consecration of the chapel dedicated to Saint Rozaarius of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Built from red brick, the church stands on cement mortar. The Catholic community parish in Vladimir was established in 1891 but services ceased after the closure of the church in 1930. Revival of the parish took place in the early 1990s, and in 1996 the parishioners were returned the neighboring house of the priest.
