Uljanovsk Drama Theatre named after I.A. Goncharov

Ulyanovsk Drama Theatre named after I.A. Goncharov is situated at Spasskaya Street, 12a. The building designed by architect Aleksey Volgin has its history starting in the 18th century when it hosted the theater of Nikolay Durasov’s serf troupe. In 1926 it underwent major renovations. Today it is an important cultural hub of the city, participating in national and international theatrical events.
