Simbirsk Chuvash School Museum. I.Ya. Yakovlev's Apartment

The Museum "Simbirsk Tatar School. I.Ya. Yakovlev's Memorial Apartment" is situated in Ul'yanovsk at Vorbyova Street, 12. Here recreated interiors of the memorial apartment of outstanding educator Ivan Yakovlevich Yakovlev who created educational aids and books in the Chuvash language. Exhibition highlights his life journey from an ordinary illiterate boy to a well-known education figure of the Volga region. The museum also showcases Yakovlev's contribution to the formation of the Chuvash national school and the establishment of the Simbirsk Chuvash School.
