People's Education Museum of Simbirsk Province in the 1870s-1880s

The Museum "Popular Education of Simbirsk Province in the 1870s-1880s" is situated in two old buildings from mid-19th century on Engels Street, previously known as Panskaya Street. It showcases the history of popular schools in Simbirsk during the latter half of the 19th century, including the activities of school director Ilya Nikolaevich Ulyanov. Special emphasis is placed on the first female parish school, which was among the earliest elementary schools in the city. The museum's exhibition opened in 1981.
