Evangelical Lutheran Church of Saint Mary

Ulyanovsk Evangelical Lutheran Church of Saint Mary is situated at Lenina Street, 100. The building is constructed in neo-gothic style with cement-beton roof tiles produced by local factory. Windows are decorated with artistic glass panes framed in pewter frames while wooden panels were made in Simbirsk school. The church's history begins with permission for services granted in 1819; within two years the congregation already had over two hundred members. The first Lutheran chapel appeared in Simbirsk in 1847.
