Tekutev Boulevard

Tekut'yev Boulevard in Tyumen named after local merchant and benefactor Andrey Tekut'yev. It features ancient trees: poplars, birches and pines. In the center stands a monument to Tekut'yev himself, unveiled in 2008. The boulevard emerged following the relocation of the old Tekut'yev cemetery ahead of the city's 400th anniversary celebration. The official name was fixed in April 2003; signs were installed later— in 2004.
