Holy-Troitski Monastery

The Holy Trinity Monastery is situated in Tyumen on Zatyumensky Bluff at the confluence of rivers Tura and Babarynka. Founded in 1706 under Pyotr I's decree. The ensemble includes Trinity Cathedral, Church of Forty Martyrs and Church of Pyotr and Paul. After being closed in 1923, it was restored in 1995. Here religious services take place, there is a Sunday school and spiritual college operating. From the monastery grounds begins the riverside promenade along river Tura.
