Sibirian Cats Square

The Siberian Cats Square is located in the center of Tyumen on May First Street between Republica Street and Lenin. It was opened in 2008 and named in memory of cats who saved supplies for Leningrad during the blockade. Statues of cats created by Marina Alchibaeva are illuminated at night, giving the place a special atmosphere. The alley of the square is decorated with granite pillars featuring copper-golden cat images, making it one of the city's recognized attractions.
