Mother Monument

Monument "Mama" opened on June 1, 2010 in Tyumen at the intersection of Sverdlov Street and Komsomolskaya, represents sculptor Pyotr Sergeyevich Starchenko's work titled "Maternity". Its creation was initiated by the authorities of Central District, marking its opening to coincide with the 60th anniversary of International Children's Day. The production process took eight and a half months, while the project was registered with the Russian Authors' Society as early as May 2007. The monument is situated near the perinatal center.
