Bogoroditse-Rozhdestvensky Ilinsky Convent

The Bogorodice-Rozhdestvensky Ilinsky Convent is situated in Tyumen on October 25th Street. The history of the convent begins with the arrival of a female community at a church in the late 19th century. In the 20th century, the monastery was revived and returned to the Orthodox Church. Here there is a wooden chapel dedicated to Prophet Elijah, known since the 17th century, whose main altar was consecrated in his honor. Currently, the convent operates as a women's religious center.
