Tula Academic Drama Theatre

The Tula Academic Drama Theatre traces its history back to 1777 when it first opened in the city on December 17th with comedy "So It Should Be" by Vasily Verekhin. A new modern building was obtained in 1970. Founded almost simultaneously with the formation of the Tula province. In April 1890, here premiered the play "Fruits of Enlightenment", in which Lev Tolstoy participated in preparation.
