Demidov Historical and Memorial Museum

The Demidov Museum is located in Tula on Demidovskaya Street, 9. It is dedicated to the famous family of tula gunsmiths and industrialists. The exhibition includes ancient weapons production artifacts from the 16th to 18th centuries as well as rare relics from the Demidovs' burial vault. A unique feature of the museum is the family burial vault inside the Nikolo-Zaretskaya Church, which is the sole surviving within-church grave site for members of this family in Russia. The museum opened in 1996, coinciding with significant anniversaries of Tula city.
