Demidov Historical and Memorial Museum

The Historical and Memorial Museum of Demidovs is located in Tula, at Demidovskaya Street, 9. It is situated in the historical district of the city, where once was Kuznetskaya Sloboda. There is an exhibition dedicated to the famous family of tula gunsmiths and businessmen Demidovs. Visitors can see genuine exhibits of weaponry from the 16th to the 18th century, as well as artifacts from the family burial vault of Demidovs, which is the only surviving inside-church burial site for members of the family in Russia. Special attention is given to the first factory built by Nikita Demidov in 1695.
